Designation: Senior Manager-Network Operations

Position Description
Expedia is looking for a Network Operations Senior Manager to join our rapidly growing India team. An ideal candidate will have a depth of experience in managing a technical network team using a standardized framework of policies and procedures, previous experiencing operating a large-scale ecommerce network is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a Network Operations team that can scale with the needs of the business. The team will be responsible for the following areas of the network:
Access Management - Ensure that policies are developed and adhered to for all equipment access. This includes network devices, load balancers and firewalls.
Configuration Management - Using tools such as HPNA to maintain proper configurations on firewalls, load balancers and network equipment as defined by network engineering. This will include development of scripts and implementation procedures to ensure fully maintained configurations.
Service requests implementation - Implementation of network services requests such as VIP creation, firewall rules, VLAN adds, and onboarding of devices onto monitoring.
Capacity Management - Develop and maintain process for identifying network capacity reporting and management. This will include both WAN and LAN capacity management.
Proactive Incident Management - Monitoring network equipment for failures and alerts. This will include proper monitoring is in place to actively alert on events. Events will need to be worked on a lower priority ticket for Engineers to work with the vendors and business partners to resolve issues before they become high priority incidents.
Build workflows and procedures for the team based on an industry standard framework (ITIL, COBIT, etc.)
Work closely with other departments to streamline processes in support of the business
Leadership, supervision and development of the Network Operations team
Constant improvement of processes and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
4-year degree in a technical discipline preferred (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience with ITIL or COBIT (ITIL Foundations certification preferred)
Understanding of Internet Operations (IP addressing, BGP routing, CDNs, peering/transit, etc.)
Knowledge of current networking systems including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs from an operational support perspective (Juniper experience preferred)
Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP
Experience with Solarwinds, HPNA, Extrahop is preferred
Proven experience in designing, documenting and writing deliverable plans for network implementations
Previous experience in creating and managing technical resources
3 years of managerial experience in a technical environment
Project Management (Agile or Waterfall) experience preferred
